Tuesday Writing - "A Way to Get Moving"


WASHINGTON, D.C. (Achieve3000, January 22, 2009). President Barack Obama cares about transportation. He has a plan. What is it? To improve travel.
Obama would improve the national highway system. He would fix and build roads.
Obama would improve the rail system. He would build more tracks. Then trains could go to more cities.
Obama says the plan would help the country. It would make new jobs. People would have more money to spend. That's good for companies. He says the plan would also clean up the air. More people could ride buses or trains. Fewer cars would be driven. This would mean less pollution.
