YOAKUM, Texas (Achieve3000, January 26, 2009). David Watson is a family doctor. He lives in Yoakum, Texas. Everyone in town knows Dr. Watson. He knows most of them. He's been their doctor for 50 years.
SUMMARIZEIn 2008, Dr. Watson won an award. What award? Country Doctor of the Year. Why did Dr. Watson win? He shows the spirit of rural doctors. Rural doctors make house calls. They know their patients by name.
Dr. Watson is 78. But he still sees patients every day. He has no plans to slow down. Why not? He loves his job.
