Science Activities
Third graders have begun studying about life cycles of plants and animals. By using a picture of a bicycle wheel, they quickly made the connection that a cycle is a series of events that repeats. We have recently been studying the life cycles of flowering plants and conifers. For review and more practice on the concepts the students are learning in science, you can go to this Houghton Mifflin link and click on any of the chapter 1, 2, or 3 activities. The students should have no problem with the activities in chapters 1 and 2, and will certainly be able to do some of chapter 3 as we are learning this in class now.
