VoiceThread

I am going to begin putting posts on the students' blogs that are VoiceThread files - when you see the blog you will see the VoiceThread box. Press the play/arrow button on the screen. You will hear the audio that goes with the image you see.

This is a cool program that we can use so that you (parents, relatives, friends) can get a little peek into some of the things the kids are doing during the day. I may post a sheet on the VoiceThread post that has a list of multiplication facts and when you click the play/arrow button you will hear the student doing those facts. I will use it to record students doing things like working through math problems, reading small pieces of text, answering comprehension questions, or reciting or explaining things. It's the kind of stuff parents don't usually get to be a part of during the students' regular work day, so this is just another way for you to see what we are doing.

Below is an example of a VoiceThread post for you to try out - just click the play/arrow button. When the thread is finished, the little screen will change and have some choices that say things like "share" or "email". You can just push the pause/play button at the bottom to hear it again, or ignore the screen when you are done. The next time you refresh this screen or come back to this page it will look like it did the first time you saw it.
